This Week in Libraries
As part of the weekly Internet program This Week in Libraries, I was interviewed though a Skype call by Erik Boekesteijn and Jaap van de Geer. The discussion revolved around the latest Automation Marketplace feature, titled The New Frontier: the Battle Intensifies to win hearts, minds, and tech Dollars which appeared in the April 1, 2011 issue of Library Journal. We talked about the new generation of library automation platforms, discovery systems, and some of trends in libraries that impact they way we use technology.
It was great to have this discussion with Erik and Jaap. In 2008, I visited with them in their home library, the DOK in Delft in The Netherlands, gave a presentation as a Masterclass at the Rotterdam Public Library, and have seen them many times Computers in Libraries and Internet Librarian.
