May 8, 2012. Gerard Cottet Library at Salus University Goes Live on Koha with ByWater Solutions. ByWater Solutions announced that the Gerard Cottet Library at Salus University is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. <<more>>


May 3, 2012. Vermont Organization of Koha Automated Libraries continues to add members. The Vermont Organization of Koha Automated Libraries, is a project of the Green Mountain Library Consortium dedicated to creating a shared catalog and Integrated Library System. The project took flight in late 2007 with the installation of 3 stand-alone Koha instances to replace the libraries’ legacy Follett systems and another 4 libraries automating into Koha through 2009. In 2010, VOKAL launched Vermont’s first union catalog hosted and supported by ByWater Solutions with the majority of the implementations being undertaken in-house by the talented and forward-thinking VOKAL implementation team. VOKAL already has roughly 8 additional libraries slated to be migrated into their Koha union catalog by the end of 2012. <<more>>

ByWater Solutions announced that the Wilderness Coast Public Libraries is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. ByWater Solutions announced that the Columbia County Rural Library District in Dayton, Washington is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. The Library’s Koha installation went live earlier this month, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them. ByWater Solutions announced that the Plum Creek Library System is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. The Library’s Koha installation went live earlier this month, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them. The Plum Creek Library System is made up of 26 member libraries and has a collection of over 730,000 items. <<more>>


March 16, 2012. Southern NH Library Cooperative Goes Live on Koha with ByWater Solutions. ByWater Solutions announced today the Southern NH Library Cooperative made up of Plaistow Public Library, Sandown Public Library and the Kimball Library in Atkinson is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. The Library’s Koha installation went live in February, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them. The Southern NH Library Cooperative has a collection of over 125,000 items. <<more>>


March 6, 2012. Walla Walla Public Library goes live on Koha with ByWater Solutions. ByWater Solutions announced that the Walla Walla Public Library of Walla Walla, WA is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. Walla Walla Public Library has a collection of over 115,000 items and performs over 300,000 circulations annually. The Library’s Koha installation went live in mid January, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them. <<more>>


February 28, 2012. Washoe County Library System goes live on Koha with ByWater Solutions. ByWater Solutions announced that Washoe County Library System of Reno, NV is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system. The Library’s Koha installation went live in early January, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them. ByWater Solutions welcomed Huntington Public Library to Vermont Organization of Koha Automated Libraries. February 2, 2012. Six libraries partner to bring DOM biblio indexing to Koha. ByWater Solutions announced that six of their library partners are joining forces to bring DOM Biblio Indexing to Koha. The DOM Biblio Indexing development will greatly improve authority searching in Koha by allowing for fully coordinated subject heading searches. The development will also provide the option to search for an exact title, including subtitle and title parts, as well as indexing the full title with and without initial stop words to allow for more accurate title sorting. <<more>>


January 26, 2012. ByWater Solutions Names Nicole C. Engard VP of Education. ByWater Solutions announced the promotion of Nicole C. Engard to Vice President of Education. Nicole started with ByWater Solutions in September of 2009 and in that time she has educated hundreds of librarians on the use of their new Koha ILS installations. In her new role, Nicole will continue to manage education efforts for the company with a new focus on teaching librarians the nature of open source and how they can participate in community efforts. The Library’s Koha installation went live in late September 2011, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them. The Hernando County Library is made up of one main library and four branches, which house a collection of over 250,000 books, videos, periodicals and electronic resources. <<more>>
