Innovative Interfaces announced that the Innovative Users Group (IUG) has concluded its 21st-Annual Conference. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. and OverDrive, the leading full-service digital distributor of eBooks, agreed on plans for deep API integration of OverDrive services into III products, including Sierra and Encore Discovery Services Platform. April 8, 2013. Over 100 Academic Libraries Go Live with Sierra in Q1 2013. Innovative announced that over 100 academic and law school libraries in the US, Canada, and Europe went live with the Sierra Services Platform in the first quarter of 2013. March 4, 2013. Innovative integrates SkyRiver operations: Company will discontinue legal action against OCLC. Innovative Interfaces announced that all operations of sister company SkyRiver Technology Solutions, Inc. will be integrated into Innovative and that the SkyRiver cataloging service will become part of Innovative's product suite. In addition, Innovative has decided to withdraw the claims of the antitrust suit filed in 2010 and currently pending in federal court in Ohio. <<more>>

Currently, UNALM is comprised of twelve academic schools that specialize in the fields of natural, agricultural, and environmental sciences. Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries (Finland) upgrades to Sierra Services Platform. elsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries (HelMET) is upgrading to the Sierra Services Platform from the Millennium ILS. HelMET is comprised of the city libraries of Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, and Vantaa and serves more than a million customers in the metropolitan area. Circulation reaches 17 million a year and its Web site receives more than five million visits a year. <<more>>

Innovative Interfaces announced that Huntsman Gay Global Capital and JMI Equity now fully own the company, having purchased the remaining shares from Innovative's founder, Jerry Kline. Innovative announced that Decision Center, a new collection-management solution that provides actionable recommendations to libraries, has been implemented at several libraries including Jefferson County Public Library; Tulsa City-County Library; and University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Innovative announced that the Bridgeton Free Public Library, Millville Public Library, and Vineland Public Library in New Jersey have selected the Millennium ILS and Encore Synergy for a complete library technology solution. The Consortium has also selected Program Registration, AirPAC for Smartphones, and Encore Mobile to provide complete support to its community of patrons. December 19, 2012. Institute of Social Sciences Information (Vietnam) selects Millennium. The Institute of Social Sciences Information in Vietnam has selected the Millennium ILS. ISSI is a government research organization tasked with providing scientific information on issues and trends in social sciences in Vietnam and worldwide. Under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, ISSI also conducts, coordinates, and assists professional activities in the field of Library and Information Science. ISSI is the first Innovative customer in Vietnam, and will migrate from a CDS/ISIS system, provided by UNESCO. <<more>>
December 12, 2012. Jay Shankar joins Innovative as Senior Vice President of Services and Support. Innovative Interfaces announced that Jayanthi "Jay" Shankar has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Services and Support. Jay has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry and has displayed strong leadership throughout her career in the areas of customer support and engineering. Most recently, Jay served as Vice President of Customer Support at BMC Software, which provides enterprise-level technology for IT organizations around the world. Innovative announced three new international library partners have selected the Millennium ILS: Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA)(Ethiopia), and University of Applied Sciences (Estonia). November 10, 2012. Innovative hosts celegation of Chinese library directors. Innovative recently hosted a group of 16 academic library directors from the China Academic Library and Information System, a nation-wide academic library cooperative with over 1,000 member libraries in China. <<more>>
November 6, 2012. Scottsdale Public Library (AZ) promotes local history with online StoryTour Collection. The Scottsdale Public Library recently debuted its online Papago Salado StoryTour Collection. The collection includes historical images and stories that connect the authentic history of the Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tempe regions in Arizona with specific buildings and places. Audio clips of first-person narrative stories provide short accounts about the people and events that shaped the community over time. Visitors to the Library's website have access to the collection through Content Pro, Innovative's digital collection management solution. Audio clips of the stories can also be accessed at the physical locations of the historical sites via a mobile device. <<more>>
October 26, 2012. Professional Institute AIEP (Chile) selects Innovative's Millennium ILS and Encore Discovery. Innovative announced that the Professional Institute AIEP (Instituto Profesional) in Chile has selected the Millennium ILS and Encore Discovery, for a complete solution to library management and user access. The Institute serves more than 60,000 students who pursue degrees in a variety of business fields, engineering, the arts, and more. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. has appointed Kim Massana as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective upon the announcement on August 27, 2012. Jerry Kline continues as Chairman and Neil Block as President.
Innovative Interfaces, Inc. announced that it has received a strategic investment from Huntsman Gay Global Capital, a leading middle market private equity firm, and JMI Equity, a leading growth equity firm focused on investing in growing software, internet, business services and healthcare IT companies. Innovative Founder and Chairman Jerry Kline will continue to be directly involved in the Company’s overall operation as Chairman of the Board and shareholder of the Company. SkyRiver Technology Solutions, a provider of library metadata, also owned by Kline, received investment on the same terms. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Virginia Tech, the original development site for the VTLS automation system, announced that will it migrate its libraries to Millennium from Innovative Interfaces.With this selection, Innovative shores up its lead among the prestigious members of the Association of Research Libraries to 37 out of the 123 total.
(October 16, 2001). Innovative announces transition in Ownership
Innovative Interfaces announced that Jerry Kline, co-founder and CEO, has reached an agreement to purchase the outstanding shares of the company from co-founder Steve Silberstein. Upon closing of the transaction, which is expected by the end of the year, Kline will assume full ownership of the company.

Innovative Interfaces, Inc., purchased SLS Information Systems of Great Britain. SLS has over 700 installations in Europe, including more than 50 in academic libraries. Its primary product is Libertas. SLS was owned by 16 UK universities. Innovative purchased all of the outstanding stock for cash. The deal includes subsidiaries in Scandinavia (Stockholm) and Spain (Madrid) . SLS currently has a staff of 46 people.

Innovative Interfaces had a record year in 1995, signing 100 new-name customers during the year, including 11 academic research libraries and 20 public libraries.
Library Systems Newsletter (September 1993). OhioLink system up and running
OhioLINK is the first in which all activity of the separate local library systems is recorded and displayed immediately in the statewide union catalog. The OhioLINK INNOPAC statewide union catalog went online for the public on November 11, 1992, with 2.4 million bibliographic records from six university libraries, including: Case Western Reserve, Bowling Green, University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Central State University and Wright State University.

The European University Institute's recent installation of the INNOPAC library automation system marks the entry of Innovative Interfaces, Inc., into the European market. Innovative Interfaces systems are now installed in more than 340 libraries in six countries, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, and Italy.
