New Guide for ILS Marketshare and Migrations

GuidePost Picture

I've created a new resource page for Library Technology Guides. This page brings together a number of reports and other materials that provide information related to the ILS products used in libraries.

It's helpful to know how widely a given integrated library system has been deployed. Library Technology Guides attempts to track the ILS products deployed in libraries through the lib-web-cats directory. Lib-web-cats includes fields for the current ILS used in each library as well as any previous systems, along with the year implemented. While not comprehensive for all regions of the world, we have sufficient data to represent most major trends.

This guide page includes summaries of the ILS products used by the members of the Association of Research Libraries, the Urban Libraries Council, marketshare reports of ILS deployments for many major countries and all US states, and a report that shows ILS migration trends based on current and previous products used.
