Corporate Chronology

Jan 2009	Infor launches V-smart. Infor Library and Information Solutions launched the general release of V-smart in November 2008. V-smart is a new, fully Web-based integrated library system. This product continues the evolution of the Vubis library automation system, advancing the product from the client/server architecture into the realm of Web-based computing, the preferred technology approach in the current technology environment. This release follows the testing and early adoption of the software in two French libraries, Sainte-Geneviève University and La Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. Infor indicates that at least ten additional libraries are preparing to move to V-smart.
Aug 2, 2006	Infor acquires Extensity. Infor, a portfolio company of Golden Gate Capital, acquires Extensity a recently created company also owned by Golden Gate. Extensity includes the former Geac Library Solutions division, know operating under the name Infor Library Solutions.
Feb 1994	Geac acquires ODIS. Geac computer Corporation acquired ODIS NV of Dilbeek, Belgium, ODIS BV of Eindhoven, Netherlands, and ODIS SARL of Paris, France. ODIS markets and supports VUBIS library automation software, developed in conjunction with and licensed by the Free University of Brussels and the Technical University of Eindhoven. ODIS has annual sales of more than $7 million.
Dec 4, 1992	Geac acquires CLSI. Geac Computer Corporation Limited announced on December 4, 1992, that it has acquired all of the outstanding shares of CLSI, Inc., as well as CLSI's subsidiaries in Canada, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
Nov 30, 1992	Geac acquires assets of McDonnell Douglas Information Systems Canada, Inc..
Aug 1988	Geac acquires Advanced Libraries and Information, Inc.. Geac Computer Corporation Limited has announced the acquisition of Advanced Libraries and Information, Inc. (ALII), based in Honolulu, Hawaii. ALII is a provider of integrated library automation systems. ALII's products, ALOHA, and the microcomputer-based ADVANCE, operate in the Pick and Pick/unix environments on a wide range of hardware platforms. Currently installed at some 20 sites including the University of Hawaii, Baker & Taylor, and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the ALII systems will allow Geac to be more competitive in those segments of the market which require small and mid-size systems.
