February 26, 2008. Scottish Borders Council go live With Vubis Smart . Infor announced that Scottish Borders Council has successfully gone live with their Vubis Smart system in 12 libraries. The system will also support the Council’s 6 mobile libraries. <<more>>


February 18, 2008. Carmarthenshire County Council and Neath Port Talbot Council join Pembrokeshire County Council in Vubis Smart system consortium. Infor Library and Information Solutions announced today that Carmarthenshire County Council and Neath Port Talbot Council in Wales, UK, have contracted for Vubis Smart in a co-operative implementation with Pembrokeshire County Council who went live with their Vubis Smart system exactly on time on the 23rd January 2008. January 30, 2008. Bibliothèque Universitaire Sainte-Geneviève Chooses Vubis Smart. Infor announced that the Academic Library of Sainte-Geneviève University in Paris, France, has chosen Vubis Smart as the Library’s next generation integrated library management system. The Library will be implementing Vubis Smart along with Infor’s suite of library automation solutions - V-link, and V-sources . The selection of Vubis Smart by Sainte-Geneviève follows the selection of the system by the City of Strasbourg in the biggest tender in France of 2007. <<more>>


January 28, 2008. The City of Paris Library Network Chooses Vubis Smart. Infor announced today that the City of Paris Library Network in Paris, France, has chosen Infor’s Vubis Smart integrated library system. The Library Network will implement Vubis Smart throughout its 60 branches, which serve 330,000 registered users, handle 10 million loans and enjoy over 8.5 million in-library visits each year. <<more>>


January 15, 2008. Scottish Borders Council Selects Vubis Smart. Infor announced that Scottish Borders Council selected Vubis Smart as its new library automation system. January 7, 2008. Department of Canadian Heritage Knowledge Centre Goes Live With Vubis Smart . Infor announced that the Department of Canadian Heritage’s Knowledge Centre in Gatineau, Québec, Canada has successfully gone live with Vubis Smart. The Strasbourg library network, which has implemented Infor’s Vubis Smart integrated library system, went live on December 3, 2007. December 3, 2007. Vubis Smart Goes Live at the Library of St Leu in Ile de la Réunion. Smart, Infor’s integrated library system, has successfully been implemented at the Library of St Leu on the island of Ile de la Réunion. November 4, 2007. Infor Announces Improved Verification of Dutch Patron Addresses in Vubis Smart. Infor announced today that it has improved the verification of addresses in the Vubis Smart Dutch patron records through the integration of web services. Vubis Smart now dynamically interfaces with the XML-gateway of Cendris in order to provide better, more accurate patron addresses. The Cendris XML-gateway is available through the XML-RPC Web service, a variant of the SOAP-protocol that works through HTTP POST. <<more>>

June 1, 2007. Academic Library of Aix Marseille go live with Vubis Smart. Vubis Smart was chosen to replace ADVANCE in the Academic Library of Aix Marseille. Operations started in April, first by merging 3 distinct databases, and continued by migrating the unified base to Vubis Smart. Almost 60 licences are installed on 7 different sites. <<more>>


April 27, 2007. Vubis Smart Release 2.4.2. Vubis Smart Release 2.4.2 will be available for general release in the beginning of May, 2007. Included in version 2.4.2 is an entirely revamped Serials Module, which offers libraries new workflow functionality and tools to manage the subscription, prediction, receiving, routing and claiming of periodicals. Along with the new Serials Module, Vubis Smart now also integrates complete support for the Marc21 format for Holdings and the U.S. date format. <<more>>
