July 17, 2014. Center Consolidated Schools goes live on CLiC AspenCat LibLime union catalog. Center Consolidated Schools, located in Center, CO, is now live on the AspenCat LibLime Koha union catalog for all collection and patron management services. With the accumulation of Center Consolidated Schools, the CLiC AspenCat union catalog now has over 464,997 bibliographic records and 869,343 items. Center Consolidated Schools staff has worked with LibLime Project Management to successfully transfer bibliographic, item, and patron data to the LibLime Koha application. <<more>>


July 10, 2014. Library Training Services Australia joins LibLime’s Koha with Class Program. Students in Helen Ladewig’s courses in library, information services, and cultural services at Library Training Services Australia will begin utilizing LibLime Koha this summer through LibLime's Koha with Class program. LibLime will provide the class of approximately 35 students with a hosted installation of LibLime Koha 4.18 free of charge. This will allow the students unlimited access and all privileges associated with the staff end of LibLime Koha as well as all OPAC functionality for the duration of the course. LibLime Koha 4.18 includes foundational support for authority control, global editing of authorized fields, improved Solr stemming functionality, RDA support, and enhanced search attributes. The Solr engine, released as part of LibLime Koha 4.14, provides increased performance for importing and indexing bibliographic records. Solr also provides a much richer facet list for OPAC searching. Students in Ms. Ladewig’s classes will have the opportunity to take advantage of these and other improvements brought to the application through the Solr search engine. <<more>>

With the accumulation of the Dolores Public Library, the CLiC AspenCat union catalog now has over 450,000 bibliographic records and 835,653 items. Rocky Ford Public Library, located in Otero County, CO, is now live on the AspenCat LibLime Koha Union Catalog for all collection and patron management services. With the accumulation of the Rocky Ford Public Library, the CLiC AspenCat Union Catalog now has over 80,000 records. Rocky Ford Public Library staff has worked with LibLime Project Management to successfully transfer bibliographic, item, and patron data to the LibLime Koha application. <<more>>


May 24, 2014. Hoesch Memorial Public Library joins LibLime Koha and the Pioneer Consortium. The Hoesch Memorial Public Library, located in Alma, NE, has joined the Pioneer Consortium and will participate in the Pioneer LibLime Koha union catalog for all collection and patron management services.The Hoesch Memorial Public Library staff will work with LibLime Project Managers to migrate bibliographic, item, and patron data from its legacy ILS system. Hoesch Memorial will enjoy autonomy within the LibLime Koha union catalog, as LibLime Koha includes support for local ownership of patron records, local ownership of items records linked to communal bibliographic records, and OPAC group searching for pre-designated collections. Hoesch Memorial patrons will also benefit from other functionality in the software sponsored by Pioneer, such as Enriched EDI for acquisitions and expanded fines and fees support in circulation. <<more>>

The Dundy Public Library, located in Benkelman, NE, is now live on LibLime Koha 4.18 for all collection and patron management services.The Dundy Public Library staff worked with LibLime Project Managers to migrate bibliographic, item, and patron data from its legacy ILS system. With the addition of the Dundy Public Library to the Pioneer Consortium, there are now over 1.5 million items and over 612,000 bibliographic records in the Pioneer LibLime Koha union catalog. <<more>>

February 14, 2014. Amy Begg De Groff takes over as LibLime Division Manager. LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that Amy Begg De Groff will be taking on responsibilities as the LibLime Division Manager. Ms. De Groff came to PTFS in 2010 as the Transition Management consultant charged with overseeing the LibLime acquisition. She came to PTFS from at Howard County Library where she was Director of Information Technology. As LibLime Division Manager, Ms. De Groff will oversee LibLime products and services, work with LibLime clients on ongoing feature development, and provide day to day management of the Division. <<more>>

January 31, 2014. LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces the release of LibLime Academic Koha 5.6. LibLime announces the production release of LibLime Academic Koha 5.6. As with each release of Academic Koha, all features were designed and sponsored by WALDO’s Academic Koha design committees – by librarians for librarians. LibLime Academic Koha 5.6 is designed around a new Discovery Layer for the application – written with RESTful API to increase local customization and to facilitate dynamic integration with key third party products and resources of use in academic libraries today. Also included in the release is the ability to merge authority records, an OPAC editor, and mobile device support. <<more>>

January 7, 2014. PTFS awarded prime contract for NGA’s ILS Next Program. PTFS was recently awarded a five year multi-million dollar prime contract from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency GEOINT Research Center for a program called ILS Next. ILS Next replaces NGA's legacy Voyager library management system which has been in operation for over a decade. <<more>>
