ISACSOFT Inc. (TSX: ISF) today announced the nomination of the four following individuals who will serve as new unaffiliated directors. Each term of office will expire at the end of the next shareholders’ annual meeting.
A member of the Institute of Corporate Directors since 2003, Mr. Samson has been a company director since 1999 and serves on several Boards of Directors, in some cases as Chair. Mr. Samson has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Industrial Relations from Université Laval. Almost 25 years of his career were spent with the Molson organization, where he successively occupied various management positions in sales, distribution and marketing. From 1972 to 1976, he oversaw the implementation within Quebec of the Castor Bricoleur retail chain, the province’s first do-it-yourself and renovation centers and the forerunner of today’s Réno-Dépot banner. From 1980 to 1983, he served as founder of the Montreal Manic Soccer Club, which was part of the North American Soccer League (NASL). Mr. Samson has also worked as senior vice-president, marketing, sales and business development for Sico, and as president of Sico Coatings.
Mr. Richard has significant mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience in the communications and high-tech fields. He is chief executive officer with Winward Inc., a consulting firm specializing in strategies and M&A. Prior to founding Winward, Mr. Richard was chairman and chief executive officer with Incomnet Inc., a software and telecommunications holding company. Mr. Richard was also senior vice-president for mergers and acquisitions with Emergis, senior vice-president responsible for legal and corporate affairs with Teleglobe Communications, and senior counsel with BCE Inc. He has a Bachelors degree in Communications and Law.
André Duquenne is president of T2ic, a service firm in technology transfer innovation capital. From 1997 to December 2004, he was co-founder and vice-president of T2C2/INFO, a start-up venture capital company specializing in the high-tech industry. He was also co-founder of the Société Innovatech du Grand Montréal, a $350-million venture capital fund specializing in life sciences, information technology and aerospace. From January 1993 to June 1997, he served as senior vice-president for investments in information technology and aerospace. From September 1989 to December 1992, Mr. Duquenne was special advisor for science and technology to the government of Quebec’s ministère de l’Industrie, de la Science, du Commerce et de la Technologie. Since 1993, he has sat on the boards of directors of several companies in both the public and private sectors, including particularly Positron Fiber Systems (TSX & NASDAQ), Cognicase (TSX & NASDAQ), Groupe Conseil Omnitech (TSX), D-Box Technologies (TSX) et Tecsys (TSX). Mr. Duquenne is also a member of the Licensing Executives Society USA/Canada and serves on the Queen's MBA for Science & Technology advisory board, at the Queen's School of Business in Kingston, Ontario.
Jean Paul Talbot
Following a 30-year career with Bell Canada, Mr. Talbot was founder and director of a number of businesses. In particular, he was founder and president of Emertech, a telecommunications consulting firm. Mr. Talbot also acts as an advisor to the management of a number of small and medium-sized businesses, and sits on various boards of directors.
ISACSOFT also announced the departure of company director Claude Castonguay. "I wish to personally thank Mr. Castonguay for his contribution to ISACSOFT since he accepted this position, and I wish him continued success," said Mr. Brisebois. "I would also like to welcome these four new members of the ISACSOFT board, whose past experience will serve to ensure the company’s continued development," added Mr. Brisebois.
