Leeds Library and Information Servicesí mission to channel 80% of its transactions through self-service has been strengthened by the adoption of the offline self-service solution, Talis Bridge Pro.
The Annual Library Plan details Leeds Library and Information Servicesí aims to become a more modern library service, and enable staff to spend more qualitative time with members of the local community. The adoption of the offline self-service solution, Talis Bridge Pro has played a key role in enabling staff to get out from behind the counter and even increase opening times at some libraries.
A total of 34 licenses will soon be in action at the councilís 53 libraries, enabling borrowers to make simple transactions such as issues and returns, even if network connectivity is lost.
Together with Intellident, Talis has worked closely with Leeds Libraries to become a major RFID enabled public library service through the Talis Additions Partner Programme, seamlessly integrating their self-service devices with the UKís leading library management system.
