Vancouver, Canada – June 18, 2010. SydneyPLUS International, provider of Library Knowledge Management software and solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, top law firms and government institutions is pleased to announce the launch of their new corporate website.

Rapidly created and deployed in less than two weeks by SydneyPLUS staff librarians, the new site sports a fresh "look and feel" delivering more information on the products and services available from SydneyPLUS, and the many partnerships that SydneyPLUS has forged with other companies that serve related industries.

The new site also highlights the formidable capabilities of SydneyPLUS’s Information Manager to allow non-technical staff to rapidly develop and deploy web portal applications. Now clients can build a website that provides real-time access to critical knowledge collections without requiring IT resources or involvement of a vendor. Creating and managing a webpage has become as easy as the "clicking and dragging" of configurable components or filling in catalog records.

With IM, the entire website is stored as records in the SydneyPLUS catalogue. This creative approach introduces efficiencies that reduce the cost of creating and maintaining web sites.

Content such as images is easily repurposed for other pages

Site navigation is easily created with a "click of the button" using the concept of a hierarchy

Minimal experience is required to create a web page or modify an existing page

Pages can be archived or restored with a "click of a button"

Managers use site maps to easily control the exposure of site content to search engines

SydneyPLUS also provides both an HTML editor and a WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor requiring minimal to no experience to use. The WYSIWYG editor is similar to working in a document with toolbars to allow clients to control the color, fonts and styles. Staff can create web pages and web page relationships as easily as typing in a document. With this capability, SydneyPLUS library staff created the web pages and navigation making up www.sydneyplus.com simply by "cataloging."
