ATLANTA – June 22, 2011 – Bibliotheca ITG, the premier developer and supplier of library materials flow automation and self-service technologies, continues to add to its growing family of library customer partners in the US and Canada. Working hand-in-hand with its partners, Bibliotheca ITG remains focused on building smarter libraries through intuitive software solutions and streamlined technology.
In 2011, in California alone, seven libraries joined the Bibliotheca ITG family– the Santa Clarita Public Library System, Berkeley Public Library, Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library, City of Palo Alto Library, Saddleback College Library, Santa Barbara Public Library System, and the Los Angeles Community College District, which encompasses nine separate libraries.
Throughout the US and Canada, the Bibliotheca ITG family of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and EM (Electro-Magnetic) enabled libraries grew with the addition of the following:
The company's success is due in part by providing RFID and EM solutions that offer each library the necessary tools and functionalities to boost patron self-service and deliver a faster material turnaround time. With the recent merger of Bibliotheca, Inc. and Integrated Technology Group (ITG) in April, the company offers streamlined service and support to its customers.
This month Intellident LTD, the leading library RFID provider in the U.K. became part of the Bibliotheca Group. This powerful combination of companies further provides libraries with an added breadth of solutions that is unavailable elsewhere, with each solution customized to meet the specific needs of the library, its patrons, and community. By combining the strengths of the three companies – service, support, in-house development, and knowledge – libraries can achieve the desired outcome using either RFID or EM technology, enhance patron service and see a noticeable return on investment from the start.
