Abstract: Bibliotheca ITG announced that it has been selected by the Pickaway County District Public Library in Circleville, Ohio, to provide Radio Frequency Identification and Automated Materials Handling solutions for its newly re-designed library facility.

Atlanta, August 3, 2011 - Bibliotheca ITG, the premier developer and supplier of library materials flow automation and self-service technologies, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Pickaway County District Public Library (PCDPL) in Circleville, Ohio, to provide Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Automated Materials Handling (AMH) solutions for its newly re-designed library facility.

Construction on the Library's existing building, which was expanded to include a teen center, computer lab, meeting rooms, and a larger children's area, was recently completed in May 2011. To achieve the Library's envisioned goal of a streamlined workflow and enhanced patron service, PCDPL initiated a rigorous evaluation of the benefits of RFID, leading vendors in the industry, and the specific product mix that would provide the greatest return on investment.

"Our Library was looking for more than just a vendor, and we realized that a partner was vital to ensuring the success of the system," said James Guenther, Director of Pickaway County District Library. "Bibliotheca ITG, who we identified as a leader in the field of library RFID technology, understands that form is equally as important as function, and presented us with multiple options that best suited our new Library, our staff, and, of course, our patrons. After months of interviews, demos, and a meticulous Request for Proposal process, we determined that Bibliotheca ITG offered superlative RFID and AMH configuration and design."

Installation of the system will begin in October, and will include self-checkout units, security gates, tags, and two sorters for both interior and exterior material returns. Not only will patrons realize an immediate uptick in service and material circulation, but staff will have more time to focus on important tasks.

"Bibliotheca ITG is dedicated to the libraries that it serves," said Shai Robkin, Bibliotheca ITG President. "We look forward to providing the Pickaway County District Public Library with a turnkey system that exceeds all expectations of the Library's staff, its patrons, and the community as a whole."
