PROVO, UTAH (Sept. 22, 2011) Ė SirsiDynix, the world's leading provider of library technology solutions, is honored to announce that the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in Lima, Peru, has selected the SirsiDynix Symphony integrated library system. Additionally, it will utilize SirsiDynix Portfolio digital asset management and the SirsiDynix Enterprise discovery platform to enable library users to discover the full breadth of the library's collections. The Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) is a private university with the mission to provide competence-based curricula that meet the demands of a globalized world. The library aids in USIL's mission to provide each student with the experience and knowledge needed to excel in the contemporary professional workforce.

"The USIL Library betted on Symphony because it was the software that best allowed us to manage bibliographic resources. It is a powerful technological and strategic platform because it helps users to discover and use knowledge and resources of any type of valuable content for constant and continuous education," said Library Director Emma Camacho. "At the same time, it supports the internal productivity of the everyday tasks in the library and increases the capacity to adapt for ongoing needs."

Ms. Camacho said the USIL Library's selection of Symphony was the result of a rigorous process of assessment. The Symphony ILS will enable the library to integrate the university's other systems so that users can have "an interconnected service" at the library and across campus. Additionally, it will aid the library in its acquisitions, service to users, user account management and organizational processes.

"With [Symphony and Portfolio], we will be able to achieve access for each student and staff member to all of our informative resources easily, through a very simple and friendly interface optimizing the capacity of the results in the searches," Ms. Camacho said.
