Softlink has partnered with multimedia provider tv4education to bring v-TV video files into the Oliver and Liberty Library Management Systems.

The v-TV Digital Library is a subscription-based service that offers recorded TV educational programs on demand. The integration with Oliver and Liberty means v-TV video files can be stored within the system and attached to imported catalogue records from SCIS.

"In this digital, electronic and connected world where currency and relevancy of information is everything, patrons are expecting the library to be the one stop shop for information and entertainment," said Mr Michael Fernandez, CEO of tv4education.

"TV accessibility anywhere and anytime is in big demand. What better place to access it than from your local library?"

By integrating with Softlink's systems, tv4education will be able to better service the larger library community with its subscription-based service.

Softlink's systems also integrate with other digital media providers such as DVC and Clickview.

"With the library community focusing on providing connectivity for its users, Softlink is continuously looking for ways to enhance our products with digital media," said Mr Kim Duffy, Chief Executive Officer of Softlink.

"Softlink is pleased to provide integration with tv4education digital videos for our users."
