MCHENRY, Ill., April 16, 2012 – Follett's recent New Leaf in Learning Conference, which attracted nearly 300 educators to the Renaissance Schaumburg (Ill.) Convention Center Hotel, will be available beginning today as a virtual event.

Follett recorded 27 of the key sessions at the Conference (held March 21-23), including the keynote addresses from Ian Jukes, creator and co-developer of TechWorks; Kevin Honeycutt, a technology integration specialist at Educational Services & Staff Development Association of Central Kansas; and Sarah Brown Wessling, an Iowa high school teacher who was the 2010 National Teacher of the Year.

To register for the New Leaf in Learning virtual event, and view the Conference sessions on demand on a computer or mobile device, visit www.NewLeafinLearning.com. The sessions will be available until June 30.

"[The Conference] was an amazing learning experience and one I hope I get to attend again," Carl Harvey, library department chair at Noblesville (Ind.) Schools, wrote in a March 25 entry on his Library Ties blog. "I learned so much from all these amazing presenters and sessions. My head was buzzing all day long." Harvey added that with the availability of the virtual conference, "I'm hoping to use that opportunity to catch up on some of the sessions I missed!"

In addition to the keynote speakers, 40 concurrent sessions – some playing to standing-room only crowds – the Conference also offered pre-conference training classes on a variety of Follett topics. Educators unable to attend in person were able to monitor the Conference via Facebook and Twitter.

A video recap of the Conference is available by visiting http://youtu.be/0y1bKvf-eUI, while a portion of Honeycutt's well-received, pre-opening keynote presentation can be viewed by accessing http://www.storify.com/FollettSoftware/kevin-honeycutt-opening-session-nlil12.

"I want to thank [Follett] for the informative and creative speakers and presentations, three days of learning and motivation to make a difference, and an overall incredible experience," said Mary Niemczyk of Mastering Learning, who was the presenter of an Improving Student Success: Incorporating Learning Strategies Into Instruction session. "I don't know how you did it but everything seemed to work flawlessly and I am still so impressed!"
