Abstract: Innovative announced that the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale Law School went live with the Sierra Services Platform last week. As a next-generation services platform, Sierra is built on an open-systems architecture that provides a library with access to its circulation, technical services, and patron data though an open relational database and a suite of documented application interface extensions. Unlike other systems, Sierra offers out-of-the-box, fully featured library workflows and integrated resource management delivering the functionality and performance that libraries trust to run their operations. The Library is the first law library to successfully install the new system and is among over 790 libraries that have selected Sierra to date.

Emeryville, CA. Innovative announced today that the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale Law School went live with the Sierra Services Platform last week.

The Library has a long 27-year relationship with Innovative and has a history of early adoption of ILS technology. "Our Innovative ILS has been evolving since we installed the INNOVAQ system in 1985," says Mary Jane Kelsey, Associate Law Librarian for Technical Services. "Sierra is the latest step in our long and productive partnership with Innovative. Because the database structure is now on an open platform we look forward to a new level of access to the database to produce custom reports and to interface with third party applications."

Innovative expects general release of Sierra later in 2012.
