White Bear Lake, MN (December 3, 2012). Tech Logic procures their third Automated Sorting Technologies (AST) installation with Iowa's Davenport Public Library in the last four years.
Sales Consultant Steve Day delivered a contract to install UltraSort, Tech Logic's 9-bin Automated Sorting system, at Davenport Public Library's Main Street facility. The AST system, consisting of an internal book drop with RFID, will be housed in a newly constructed glass room. Tech Logic worked with the library to customize the system, integrating it to conform to the brand new space and helping to create a design focal point. Located near the library's entrance, the majority of the sorting system will be visible through the glass walls, creating a public display of a normally behind-the-scenes view.
In addition to the AST system, the Davenport Library also recently purchased three of Tech Logic's CircIt Self Check-Out systems and three staff stations, along with a set of dual aisle security gates.
The Davenport Public Library, located in downtown Davenport, Iowa, includes the Main Street facility and two branch locations. They began working with Tech Logic in 2009. Since then, they have purchased two 7-bin (AST) for the Eastern and Fairmount branches.

Eileen Keehan, V.P. of Global Business Developments says; "This is not the first time a Library has asked to showcase our sorting system through a glass display!" "We are thrilled and agree with putting our Ultra Sort on Display. Our product is quiet, attractive and is intriguing to watch, while completing an enormous task for the Library Staff."
