With six main products: Lite, Lite Plus, Essential, Essential Plus, Extended and Premium, any type and size of organization can benefit from this new Family of ResourceMate Products. "ResourceMate has always been a versatile program but with the new version, the ability to tailor the program to meet the needs of organizations has been made easier," says Brian Watson, President of Jaywil Software. "The new version allows users to catalog in any language and also generate reports more easily compared to the old version. A 3.0 user even went so far as to say that adding more information to a listing was 1,000 times easier than before. That's great for customers because each one has unique needs and information they want to have access to, quickly. With our new Family of Products, they can set up their program so they see what is important to them."
The new Family of Products has a number of new features:
- It is built on MS SQL server which makes the program much faster and reliable, yet easily run on a stand alone computer
- The ability to process a list of ISBN's (not available for Lite or Essential) makes the cataloging process much quicker
- Being Unicode based makes it available to those organizations that want to catalog items using different languages ie. Chinese, Hebrew or Russian.
- Including patron pictures helps to be able to identify patrons easily The ability to drag and drop fields allows you to setup ResourceMate the way you want it
- Searching in any field allows you to access information about specific items in your collection quickly
With increased demand for cloud software, Jaywil offers hosting options for all of their programs.
Customers can choose from six different versions, depending on their situation:
- Essential is ideal for Places of Worship
- Essential Plus is also ideal for Places of Worship that wish to have more advanced features such as the ability to barcode books, store multimedia objects such as pictures, documents, video clips and files, have volunteers enter items, import/export MARC records and have more extensive security. Organizations such as museums, prisons and smaller public libraries would benefit from this version as well.
- Extended is an excellent fit for schools because of the additional features such as the ability to import and manage textbooks and establishing circulation rules and restrictions. Museums and resource libraries would also benefit from these features.
- Premium is designed for corporations and organizations with a larger database. This version starts with three shared database users and three additional OPAC licenses. More licenses are available for purchase.
- Jaywil Software also offers a Lite and Lite Plus program for those organizations with limited budgets and limited resources.
