Aloha Community Library Association selects EnvisionWare Suite

Atlanta, GA, March 26, 2013 EnvisionWare, a leading provider of self-service and library-efficiency solutions, announced today that Aloha Community Library Association, in Oregon, has selected the EnvisionWare Suite for computer and print management.

Located in a suburb of Portland, Aloha was once one of the most populous, unincorporated areas in Oregon without a library. In 2011, community members formed the Aloha Community Library Association to meet the demand for both library and community services. The library is 100 percent donor-funded and is operated by an expansive group of volunteers, including a network of public and school librarians.

"The outpouring of community support for the library has been amazing," said Aloha's board president, Doug Hoy. "It has been a completely grassroots effort to establish and run a full-service library through volunteers and donations. Since we opened the doors eighteen months ago, we've steadily increased hours and services. We're now open twenty-nine hours per week with three volunteer staff on hand at all times."

In addition to offering programs and materials, the library has six public access computers for catalog searching and Internet access. Recently, the library purchased the EnvisionWare Suite to manage computer time and printing services and fees.

"Without an IT staff, we needed a computer and print management system that would be very easy to use and manage, particularly by a rotating group of volunteers," said Hoy. "The EnvisionWare Suite is intuitive and reliable, and frees up our staff to assist in other areas."
