Irving Public Library (TX), Pleasant Hill Public Library (IA), and Urbandale Public Library (IA) choose Polaris ILS

Abstract: Innovative announced that 3 public libraries have selected the Polaris Integrated Library System: Irving Public Library (TX) is moving from SirsiDynix Symphony and has an annual circulation of 1,377,286 with 531,380 print holdings; Pleasant Hill Public Library (IA) is moving from Follett Destiny and has an annual circulation of 87,472 with 37,427 print holdings, and Urbandale Public Library (IA) is moving from SirsiDynix Symphony and has an annual circulation of 644,028 with 130,897 print holdings.

Innovative announced that 3 public libraries have selected the Polaris Integrated Library System: Irving Public Library (TX) is moving from SirsiDynix Symphony and has an annual circulation of 1,377,286 with 531,380 print holdings; Pleasant Hill Public Library (IA) is moving from Follett Destiny and has an annual circulation of 87,472 with 37,427 print holdings, and Urbandale Public Library (IA) is moving from SirsiDynix Symphony and has an annual circulation of 644,028 with 130,897 print holdings (Source: American Library Directory).

The Urbandale Public Library is committed to providing diverse resources for life-long learning and enjoyment. Urbandale Public Library is owned by the city of Urbandale and governed by a seven member Board of Trustees. The library serves not only the residents of Urbandale, but the surrounding Des Moines metro area as well as contracting cities within the state of Iowa. The current 56,000 square foot building was completed in 2000 and houses a variety of print and non print materials.
