Kirkland Municipal Library improves patron services with Infor. Infor Library and Information Solutions

Infor announced the Kirkland Municipal Library has selected Infor V-smart, Infor V-insight and the Iguana web portal and discovery platform. Serving the Canadian community of Kirkland on the west island of Montreal, Quebec, the library chose the applications to provide its members with remote catalog access through an integrated, web-based system, as well as to enhance interactions and services through improved ease-of-use.

Muse Global, Inc. and Infor Library and Information Solutions announced their collaboration to offer libraries a custom mobile search platform. Through this collaboration, Infor Library and Information Solutions will offer MuseGlobal’s mobile search interface within the NOW mobile solution, providing mobile access to a library’s catalog and subscription databases.

Infor announced that École Polytechnique de Montréal, a leading engineering school in Canada and the largest institution of its kind in Québec, has selected V-smart, Infor’s web-based integrated library system. Montpellier Metropolitan Area Libraries Selects Infor’s Suite of Automation Products . Infor Library and Information Solutions

Infor announced that the Montpellier Metropolitan Area Libraries selected V-smart, Infor’s Web-based integrated library system, following one of the largest tenders in France in 2009. The Montpellier Metropolitan Area Libraries will implement V-smart, as well as Infor’s V-insight statistical analysis portal, to manage the libraries’ rich collection of more than one million items and to process more than 1.5 million annual loans.

Infor granted e4libraries accreditation by Book Industry Communication in the UK. Infor Library and Information Solutions

BIC announced this week that two system suppliers, five library services and most of the UK’s major library stock suppliers have gained e4libraries accreditation. The accreditation scheme enables organisations to demonstrate their commitment to electronic trading and other beneficial library technology such as full-cycle EDI, implementation of RFID systems, efficient access to, and use of, bibliographic records, as well as the adoption of more efficient working practices in the supply chain. System suppliers that have been accredited include Infor Global Solutions and Axiell UK (formerly DS).
