LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that Amy Begg De Groff will be taking on responsibilities as the LibLime Division Manager. Ms. De Groff came to PTFS in 2010 as the Transition Management consultant charged with overseeing the LibLime acquisition. She came to PTFS from at Howard County Library where she was Director of Information Technology. As LibLime Division Manager, Ms. De Groff will oversee LibLime products and services, work with LibLime clients on ongoing feature development, and provide day to day management of the Division.

LibLime and PTFS will be exhibiting this year at the 2014 Esri Federal GIS Conference. The Symposium will be in Washington D.C. from February 10 through February 11. We will be demonstrating the latest version of ArchivalWare Digital Library System (DLS) for research and academic libraries as well as offering a sneak preview of the upcoming release of ArchivalWare Geospatial (GS), designed for research and development organizations. LibLime announces the production release of LibLime Academic Koha 5.6. As with each release of Academic Koha, all features were designed and sponsored by WALDO’s Academic Koha design committees – by librarians for librarians. LibLime Academic Koha 5.6 is designed around a new Discovery Layer for the application – written with RESTful API to increase local customization and to facilitate dynamic integration with key third party products and resources of use in academic libraries today. Also included in the release is the ability to merge authority records, an OPAC editor, and mobile device support.

LibLime, a division of PTFS, will raffle off a Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight Reader and debut the upcoming release of LibLime Koha 4.18 at the 2014 ALA Midwinter Meeting from January 24-27 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Conference attendees are encouraged to visit LibLime at Booth 866 and drop off a business card to enter to win the Nook Simple Touch Reader. The drawing will be held following the conclusion of the show.

PTFS was recently awarded a five year multi-million dollar prime contract from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency GEOINT Research Center for a program called ILS Next. ILS Next replaces NGA's legacy Voyager library management system which has been in operation for over a decade.

The Valley Public Library, located in Valley, NE, is now live on LibLime Koha 4.16 for all collection and patron management services. The Valley Public Library staff worked with LibLime Project Managers to migrate bibliographic, item, and patron data from its legacy ILS system. With the addition of the Valley Public Library to the Pioneer Consortium, there are now over 1.5 million items and over 610,000 bibliographic records in the Pioneer LibLime Koha union catalog.

LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces that the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa, in Dakar, Senegal, has gone live on LibLime Koha 4.14 as their new ILS.CODESRIA looks forward to taking advantage of the rich functionality in LibLime Koha 4.14, including enhanced circulation policies, the Solr search engine, full faceted support in the OPAC, an embedded New Titles list, additional functionality for expired & cancelled holds, and support for RDA. As with all versions of LibLime Koha since 4.8, the entire application resides in the Plack environment for enhanced performance.

LibLime, a Division of PTFS, has been selected by an agency within the Department of Defense as the winning vendor to implement LibLime Academic Koha to manage their 400,000+ technical and research report collection. The agency has served the information needs of the Defense community for more than 65 years, and reports to the Assistant Secretary of Defense For Research and Engineering ASD. Under the multi-year contract LibLime will provide implementation, support, and hosting services to the agency. The discovery layer will also provide a ‘convert on demand’ service to support the rapid delivery of digitized technical materials directly to researcher desktops within 72 hours of request.
