erials Solutions is working with SA ePublications, a service of Sabinet Online, to index The African Electronic Journals in the Summon service. Aggregating the works of multiple publishers, this collection of nearly 400 journals represents the most comprehensive, searchable collection of South- and Southern-African journals in the world.

Serials Solutions Summon Service to Index Audio Engineering Society Content. Serials Solutions

Serials Solutions is working with the Audio Engineering Society to make the rich collection of technical and scientific papers and reports from AES discoverable through the Summon service. The Society’s publications span every aspect of audio, from psychoacoustics and amplifier design to spatial re-creation and sound for computer games. The agreement makes the latest knowledge and research related to audio engineering more discoverable for millions of researchers.

Serials Solutions partners with Wolters Kluwer Health to index Lippincott Williams and Wilkins Content in the Summon Service. Serials Solutions

Serials Solutions and Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals, researchers, and students, today announced that Lippincott Williams and Wilkins content available on the Ovid institutional research platform will be indexed in the Summon discovery service. Researchers will be able to search the abstract and full reference (metadata) details of LWW’s 280 journals in the fields of medicine, nursing and allied health professionals.

Serials Solutions announced the Summon discovery service now includes content from more than 100 abstract and indexing databases – including nearly 90 ProQuest databases. Unlike other discovery services, A&I content in the Summon service is leveraged through a unique match and merge technology that combines different types of data and information from multiple sources creating a single record optimized for discovery. For mutual subscribers, this unique approach exposes A&I resources to more users, directs researchers to full text when available, and maximizes the value and usage of A&I content for libraries.

Serials Solutions Summon Discovery Service to index French open access works. Serials Solutions

Serials Solutions continues its emphasis on indexing open access content from around the world in the Summon discovery service. Le Cléo, le centre pour l'édition électronique ouverte (The Centre for Open Electronic Publishing), is working with Serials Solutions to have their scientific research content indexed in the Summon service. Founded by French research and academic institutions, Le Cléo publishes thousands of scientific works with a focus on social sciences and the humanities.

Serials Solutions Summon Service slated to index SciELO e-book titles. Serials Solutions

Serials Solutions is working with Scientific Electronic Library Online to index its e-book collection in the Summon discovery service. Recognizing that much scholarly work in the humanities and social sciences is published in book form rather than in periodicals, SciELO introduced this collection as a parallel to its widely-accessed collection of scientific academic journals. The collection is a mix of open access and commercial e-books from major academic publishers in Brazil and Latin America.

Summon Spotlighting, a new feature of the Summon discovery service, provides dynamic display options for specialized content types. Image Spotlighting dramatically improves discoverability of libraries’ most unique and valued collections. Intota Assessment Available in 2013. Serials Solutions

Serials Solutions selected by Stichting Bibliotheek.nl to provide new interface for library catalog. Serials Solutions

Stichting Bibliotheek.nl, the national foundation for public libraries in the Netherlands, has selected ProQuest business Serials Solutions to adapt AquaBrowser as an additional custom end-user interface to BNL’s new national catalog for print,digital and electronic collections. Based on a single unified index, the NBC will enable patrons to seamlessly search the local collections (books, journals, e-books, games, CDs, etc.) of member libraries as well as commercial and open source electronic data sources provided by the BNL. Serials Solutions was chosen to provide the interface for the new catalog based on its success with the similar Open Vlacc project with Bibnet, an organization of the Flemish government.

Serials Solutions Summon Service Expands Japanese-language Content with Japan Medical Abstracts Society. Serials Solutions

Serials Solutions and the Japan Medical Abstracts Society have dramatically improved access to Japanese-language article abstracts in Ichushi-Web through the Summon web-scale discovery service. The inclusion of metadata from the JAMAS abstracting and indexing database for more than 5,800 journals covering medicine, dentistry and pharmacy subjects will be available to mutual subscribers of each company’s service.
