March 6, 2012. Hildreth Public Library Goes Live on LibLime Koha. Hildreth Public Library has joined the Pioneer consortium and went live this week on LibLime Koha 4.8 for all collection and patron management services. Hildreth Public Library staff worked with LibLime Project Managers to migrate from their older Follett system to the completely web-based LibLime Koha ILS. <<more>>

January 13, 2012. GPO uses FDsys to release Kennedy assassination recordings. The U.S. Government Printing Office released online recordings of radio traffic aboard Air Force One in the wake of President Kennedy’s assassination. These audio recordings were the first to be placed in FDsys, which is already well known for its text based content. <<more>>
November 30, 2011. LibLime, a Division of PTFS, makes all code within LibLime Koha available. LibLime, a division of PTFS, announces the public release of LibLime Koha 4.8. LibLime Koha 4.8 represents the innovation, ideas, and talents of many professional librarians with whom LibLime enjoys working and with whom we look forward to a continued professional partnership in years to come. Many of the features in LibLime Koha 4.8 were envisioned, designed, and funded by a variety of libraries including Colorado Library Consortium, National Association of Realtors, the National Science Foundation, Oyster River School District, South Central Library System, Big Country Library System, Pioneer Consortium, and West Texas Library System. The primary testers in a production environment were South Central Library System and Pioneer Library Consortium. <<more>>
November 23, 2011. PTFS/LibLime granted provisional use of Koha trademark in New Zealand. PTFS/LibLime has been granted provisional use of a trademark for the use of the term Koha as it applies to Integrated Library Software in New Zealand. PTFS/LibLime is prepared to transfer the trademark to a non-profit Koha Foundation with the provision that the Foundation hold the trademark in trust and not enforce it against any individual, organization, or company who chooses to promote services around Koha in New Zealand. PTFS/LibLime encourages a direct dialog with Koha stakeholders to determine an equitable solution for the disposition of the trademark that serves the best interests of the libraries who use Koha. <<more>>
November 21, 2011. Valentine Independent School District selects LibLime Koha. Valentine Independent School District, of Valentine Texas, has chosen LibLime Koha. Valentine ISD has selected LibLime as their vendor of choice to implement and support LibLime Koha, as their next generation, open development, Integrated Library System. The School District explored a variety of free and openly available ILS solutions and after extensive research, decided upon the LibLime Koha flavor, as it is the most feature rich and well-supported open development ILS available. <<more>>

October 19, 2011. LibLime and WALDO announce the Connecticut Historical Society has selected LibLime Academic Koha. LibLime and WALDO welcome the Connecticut Historical Society to the LibLime Academic Koha development group. The Society has selected LibLime Academic Koha to replace their legacy Voyager system, because of all of the functional features designed and deployed by the WALDO Development Group, as well as the cost savings in annual support, maintenance, and hosting. PTFS’s primary focus during the transition process is on enhancing customer support for the LibLime contracts, and Mrs. De Groff’s expertise and talents line up perfectly with these goals. PTFS has been helping Army Heritage and Education Center meet their mission goals for over seven years, including the customization and deployment of the ArchivalWare-powered digital collection which is publically available online. AHEC’s digital collection, along with the catalog for the center’s library, are available through the U.S. Army Heritage Collection Online (AHCO). PTFS not only supports AHEC with these repositories and the web portal, but also provides high quality digitization of standard and fragile materials including photos, reports, and other historic documents. <<more>>
