Auto-Graphics moves to fully virtual environment

Press Release: Auto-Graphics, Inc. [June 28, 2022]

Over the past two years, COVID-19 has affected both our personal and professional lives in drastic ways. In March 2020, like most companies, A-G sent staff who worked at the Rancho Cucamonga, California (home office) home to work remotely. While some companies have since returned to their office buildings, A-G has not.

It has been our experience that our team members are not only happier but more productive and efficient when they get to work from the comfort of their own homes. Working remotely has led to increased staff morale and improved work/life balance. Furthermore, it has allowed A-G to open up hiring opportunities to the entire country, allowing for a richer, more diverse pool of staff.

Given this shift in the working landscape, not only within A-G but across the world, we have decided to permanently close down the physical office in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Although the company still has three years left on its lease, we are actively working with the landlord to lease the premises to a new tenant and/or sublease the space.

Starting July 1st, our official mailing address will be as follows:

15218 Summit Ave, Ste. 300
Box #240
Fontana, CA  92336

Our goal with this move to being a completely virtual company is to continue to support a wider base of talent and to foster a more balanced work-life environment. It is our belief that "great people make great products and provide great service," and that our fully virtual environment will perpetuate that credo. While we employed remote staff prior to the pandemic, our team has expanded and spread out even more since then: we currently have staff in 12 states representing all time zones across the country, which allows us to serve our customers more efficiently.

On that note, we have done quite a bit of operational shifting over the past year: as you may know, Cheryl Slinkard has moved into the role of Chief Operating Officer, and she was replaced by John Petrocik as the new Chief Technology Officer. We also hired Alan Mask as our new Customer Service Manager, and promoted two Customer Service specialists, Maureen Graham and Rae Schneider, to SHAREit and VERSO product managers. Finally, we are looking to hire a new Senior Sales Associate and additional programmers this summer.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Paul Cope, President at (909) 569-1520 or via his cell at (909) 568-4040.

We are excited about these new changes and developments at A-G, and optimistic about the progress we plan to make throughout the rest of 2022 and beyond. We look forward to continuing to work together with our customers to provide the best solutions we can for their libraries, and in turn, help them best serve their communities.
