CARL Corp., the developer of Kid's Cat, has announced a Web version of its popular children's interface to the patron access catalog. The new version includes toolkits to help librarians customize "explore" paths to Web resources as well as categories of print materials. The product will also support Unicode characters in MARC records, making it translatable into any language. The first general release of the product is scheduled for summer, 1999.
