Sirsi has marked 1999 as the 20th anniversary of its founding. The vendor, which targets all types and sizes of libraries, has built its customer base to 900 accounts, including recent additions such as the Montgomery County (MD) Department of Public Libraries, the University of Oklahoma; and the Congressional Budget Office.
The company does not release revenue and profit figures, but represents that it has been growing at a rate of more than 25 percent per year. The company has experienced considerable growth in the international market in the past two years. It now has over 120 sites in Europe and more than 35 in the rest of the world.
