Gale Group signs up 89 newspapers

Library Systems Newsletter [October 1999]

Gale Group has dramatically increased the pool of newspaper content available through its InfoTrac Web online service. Agreements have been reached with 38 major newspapers from North America, Europe, and Asia, including the Boston Globe, Christian Science Monitor, Detroit Free Press, Globe and Mail, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Post, and dozens of others from North America; the Financial Times, International Herald Tribune, and The Times from Europe, and the Bangkok Post, Beijing Review, Hong Kong Standard, Jakarta Post, Korea Herald, and Manila Bulletin from Asia.

Gale Group recently announced that it is merging its SearchBank and GaleNet online services into lnfoTrac Web, which then will become a single Web brand for the library, academic, and school markets.
