Sirsi Corporation has entered into a strategic business alliance with CEA Capital Partners, a venture capital firm. The intent is to expand Sirsi's position in the market by the purchase of one or more information technology companies.
Presumably, the targets will include companies which have a substantial customer bases, but aging products. In the past, that has been a successful expansion strategy for other vendors, including DRA and Innovative Interfaces.
