We migrated from the LibLime Master branch of Koha to standard Koha, hosted by ByWater Solutions, in March, 2011. Response based on our experience with standard Koha and ByWater Solutions. We are a consortium of about 40 libraries, and provide the first level of support to participating libraries. (Type: Consortium)

Bywater Solutions has been reliable, responsive and easy to work with. I recommend them in the strongest terms. (Type: Special)

We are still in testing stage of KOHA. We won't start this until Jan. 2012 (Type: Public)

KOHA is an open source ILS and we have been very pleased with the results. Our circulation has improved and our patrons are increasing the requests via the web catalog for easier pickup and faster service. (Type: Public)

Koha is an open source ILS. We implemented it back in the spring of 2007 and it has been great. (Type: Public)

Currently operating with Open ILS system, Koha, supported by Bywater Solutions. I have yet to submit a problem ticket, but other tickets in the consortium have been handled quickly. There is a room for improvement, but functionality and usefulness has greatly improved since making the migration. (Type: Public)

We are in the imigration and implementation process with Koha and plan to go (Type: Public)

We also use the Follett Destiny for in-house catalog use which is easier for the administrator to use. We use the Koha for interlibrary use only. It is more work for us but easier on the students. (Type: School)

Currently Bywater is in the process of upgrading our version of Koha because the version we are currently using has been having a lot of bugs and was customized by our former IT person, so, Bywater is trying to get us up to speed with the latest Koha. (Type: Public)

[...]is who we contact for any problems. I know very little about the workings of the ILS. We are still learning as we have been automated about one year. (Type: Public)

We currently do not use Koha's acquisitions or serials modules. I'm a little less than happy with how our basic OPAC looks but I understand that ByWater has hired a specialist who will be helping us with OPAC customization. As planned earlier, we will be pooling our records with other [...] libraries to create a union catalog for resource sharing purposes. I'm hopeful that this will not only create a credible substitute for the loss of [...] on OCLC but also encourage other area libraries to join our resource sharing effort. (Type: Public)

We migrated at the end of this year, and I've been dreading the process. ByWater made the migration seamless! We're very excited about our new open source ILS. (Type: Academic)

We signed contract in June and went live last September. The only problem has been our serials integration and we are still working on it. The migration process has been inconsistent in my opinion. It would be ideal if one person could lead the migration team start to finish (Type: Medical)
