Press Release: LibraryWorld [May 10, 2007]

MARC Database Updated

The internal MARC database within LibraryWorld has been updated to include Library of Congress records cataloged in 2005 and 2006. Overall, the database includes nearly 3 million records licensed from the Library of Congress for use in LibraryWorld.com.

For those interested in accessing additional materials through the LibraryWorld service, you will be pleased that we will be implementing a Z39.50 protocol that will allow searching and pulling into your collection records from a large number of internet connected libraries.

This is one of several major enhancements to the service that will be rolled out during the next several months. As usual, these new features and services will automatically be included in your standard subscription service.
