SYRACUSE, N.Y., January 30, 2014 – Polaris Library Systems, a trusted provider of library automation software for public libraries, proudly announces a Polaris customer selected as a member of the Advisory Council for the Canadian launch of the 3M Cloud Library eBook Lending System.
Brampton Library, located in Ontario, will partner with 3M Library Systems to offer the 3M Cloud Library, a simplified e-book lending software, to their customers. With a collection of more than 562,000 materials, Brampton Library offers more than 110 computer workstations with free Internet access, as well as wireless connectivity for customers with their own mobile devices.
"Just as we offer a fully-integrated e-content solution to our U.S. customers, we look forward to providing this same exceptional level of service to Canadian libraries because of our 3M partnership," said Neil Block, vice president of product and market management, Polaris Library Systems.
Canadian libraries who integrate with Polaris and 3M Cloud Library can expect the same easy-to-use customer interface, boosting patron satisfaction with access to thousands of digital materials to read when and how they want.
"We are pleased to be working with Brampton Library and Polaris to help bring the 3M Cloud Library into Canada," said Tom Mercer, marketing manager, 3M Cloud Library. "Our goal is to make our product the easiest-to-use for librarians and readers. These strong partnerships go a long way in creating a seamless experience for library patrons."
Polaris Library Systems will be attending the Ontario Library Association (OLA) Super Conference 2014, January 30-31 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Libraries interested in Canada's 3M Cloud Library eBook Lending System can visit Polaris Booth 433 for a personal demonstration.
