Blacksburg, VA – VTLS Technologies Sdn Bhd (VTLS' Malaysian subsidiary) added five new name customers in 2013, expanding the strong customer base that VTLS has in the Malaysian library market. In addition to the new customer sales, five current Malaysian customers purchased an additional VTLS product.
Four new customers including Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Kelantan (MAIK), Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), Sarawak Islamic Information Centre (SIIC) and Universiti Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY) purchased Virtua Integrated Library System (ILS) along with Chamo Discovery for their social OPAC (Level 1 Implementation). With Chamo Discovery, these libraries have the ability to add seamlessly integrated external resource discovery to their OPACs in the future. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) purchased VITAL for their digital asset management system.
Five current Virtua ILS users added Chamo Discovery (Level 1 Implementation) to enhance access to their catalogs, including International Medical University, Open University Malaysia (OUM), Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak.
