NORTH BETHESDA, Maryland, USA, September 28, 2015 – Progressive Technology Federal Systems Inc. (PTFS), will showcase their Droneware and Knowvation GS Geospatial Content Management System (GeoCMS) software at the ASPRS UAS Mapping Technical Symposium on September 29-30. 2015 in Reno, Nevada. Droneware and Knowvation GS facilitate the storage, discovery and dissemination of virtually any type of sensor data captured by a UAS or UAV. PTFS will demonstrate Droneware and its new Knowvation GS version 5.3 ECM in booth # 307.
Droneware and Knowvation GS GeoCMS solutions offer web-based federated search and discovery platforms that manage structured and unstructured content, including born-digital and digitized files. Fully modular, the products enable users to interrogate and retrieve content by searching on metadata, full text or geospatial parameters. Searchable content includes geospatial products, such as airborne and satellite imagery, as well as geo-referenced orthomosaics, DSMs, DTMs, point clouds, and 3D models originating from UAS sensors. In addition, Droneware and Knowvation GS support all source data, such as digital books, newspapers, video, and audio files.
"Combining full-text and geospatial queries sets Droneware and Knowvation GS apart from many other GeoCMSs. The geospatial search and discovery capability has made Knowvation GS a trusted all-source tool relied upon by government agencies with large GIS and satellite imagery archives, especially in the Intelligence Community," said Dan Quinn, PTFS Vice President.
"Unmanned Aerial Systems capture large volumes of data that must be quickly organized, interrogated and disseminated immediately," Quinn continued. "Droneware and Knowvation GS deliver a platform for users to perform a wide variety of analytical processes. The products provide Restful services and are OGC compliant. They make it easy to manage enormous archives of UAS data so the right set of images, videos or other sensor data can be found, accessed and analyzed quickly."
The primary appeal of Droneware to UAS and UAV data users is its simple and intuitive search and browse capability for rapid data discovery. Users can perform geospatial queries by typing a geographic name or word, entering latitude/longitude coordinates or performing a visual search by drawing a rectangle on a map interface. Knowvation GS provides additional advanced capabilities, such as time-lapse chipping of images for change detection analysis, mensuration and other analytical functions. Droneware and Knowvation GS perform the search on the entire archive regardless of data type or file format.
PTFS offers the option of deploying their Droneware and Knowvation GS products as the client's repository of record in which all UAS content is ingested, stored, managed, and searched inside the application. Droneware and Knowvation GS can be purchased on the Amazon AWS Marketplace and deployed in various EC2 cloud instances for commercial use or for the hobbyist.
