April 5, 2025. Axiell, the world's leading software and services provider for the cultural sector, announces significant changes to its Board of Directors.

Following the decision made at the Axiell Group Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 5, 2024, Joel Sommerfeldt, former President and CEO, assumes the role of Chairman of the Board. Mats Hentzel, the main owner and former Chairman, will continue as a board member, concentrating on matters related to ownership.

This new role allows me to continue contributing to the growth and success of our company, leveraging my experience to navigate new opportunities and challenges ahead," says Joel Sommerfeldt. Prior to January 1, 2024, Joel Sommerfeldt was President and CEO of Axiell Group since 2012. He has also been a member of the Board since 2002.

Joakim Nideborn and Stein Kleppestø continue their roles as board members. Board member Annikki Schaeferdiek has declined re-election. Since January 1, 2024, Group Management, led by President and CEO Maria Wasing, alongside Andreas Ekberg, EVP & Chief Financial Officer, and Henrik Béen, Chief Product Officer, has been steering the company's strategic direction.
