Chattahoochee Valley Libraries elevate patron experience with transition to TLC Library.Solution

Inwood, WV -- April 22, 2024. Chattahoochee Valley Libraries (CVL) has successfully transitioned from Polaris to Library.Solution with The Library Corporation (TLC), marking a significant enhancement to library services and patron experiences across the Chattahoochee Valley region.

After over a decade with its previous vendor, CVL embarked on an exhaustive review of integrated library system (ILS) options to align with evolving needs and budget guidelines. At a competitive price point, TLC's Library.Solution emerged as the ideal partner, offering a user-friendly interface tailored to both staff and patron needs following a meticulous evaluation.

"The transition to TLC was seamless and strategic," said Amber Brookins, Materials and Statistics Coordinator at CVL. "This move not only modernizes our technology but also frees up resources to expand our services and engage our community more effectively."

CVL's migration to TLC's Library.Solution has introduced several exciting benefits for patrons and staff alike. Notably, the integration of a robust mobile app has simplified access to library services, allowing families to manage multiple barcodes and access auto-generated reports effortlessly. The new catalog interfaces, especially the children's version (LS2 Kids), have been met with enthusiasm, enhancing the browsing experience for young and emerging readers.

"We are thrilled with the positive impact Library.Solution has had on our operations," added Brookins. "Our staff quickly adapted to the streamlined workflows, and our community has embraced the enhanced catalog and mobile functionalities."

The transition has improved CVL's operational efficiencies and also enabled the reallocation of resources towards expanding collections and services. Patrons can now enjoy an enriched library experience with access to new catalog features and a more intuitive mobile app.

"We're excited to enter this new chapter with TLC and Library.Solution," concluded Brookins. "The support from TLC's team has been exceptional, ensuring a smooth transition that benefits our entire community."

"We are pleased to welcome Chattahoochee Valley Libraries to the TLC family of customers," said Annette Murphy, CEO and TLC co-founder. "We look forward to supporting the library and its community for many years to come."

Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is located in Columbus, Georgia, and provides access to over 100,000 titles, with more than 500,000 circulations annually.
