• Merced County Library (CA) is breaking language barriers by embracing the linguistic diversity of their community. Through our LibraryCall Dial-A-Story Studio service, they now offer five different language lines, including Spanish, Hindi, Hmong, Dari, and English. With a simple phone call, Merced Library brings engaging stories to their diverse community. Check out their stories by dialing 209-439-5040.
• Bartholomew Public Library (IN) is taking storytelling beyond the library walls. In addition to offering two Dial-A-Story lines, the library invites the community to enjoy some fresh air and a StoryWalk in a local park. As families stroll, they encounter story panels that bring tales to life. Using our Soundtrack technology, they can also listen to the stories in both English and Spanish, making it a more immersive and inclusive experience.
• Santa Clara City Library's (CA) marketing efforts are yielding impressive results. Their Dial-a-Story team has experimented with various approaches to engage the community. Despite being a smaller library, they consistently receive some of the highest call volumes among all LibraryCall customers. They have successfully integrated Dial-a-Story into their Summer Reading program, cultural celebrations, and literacy initiatives. Additionally, they have printed grab-and-go flyers and collaborated with various literacy organizations to maximize their reach and impact.
