"We're so excited to have Anna leading this important work," said William Kilbride, Executive Director of the DPC. "She will be instrumental in expanding the DPC's work in the Americas, helping us to collaborate with our members and the established, robust digital preservation community in the Americas."

Anna brings more than 16 years of experience practicing and guiding innovative work in nonprofit organizations as a consultant, project manager, and teacher. Her previous positions include service as: Associate Director for Strategic Partnerships for Webrecorder at Rhizome where she was responsible for expanding operations and adoption of an online web archiving tool set; Project Manager for Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) where she supported collaboration across 47 different partners; and Project Librarian at Columbia University Libraries where she was instrumental in the formation of the Ivy Plus Library Confederation's collaborative web archiving program. Most recently, she has primarily been a consultant supporting the digital preservation community, and teaches as an adjunct faculty member in Library and Information Science at Indiana University, Indianapolis. Anna has provided extensive, expert guidance and strategy to projects in libraries, archives, museums, academic institutions as well as to funding organizations that support them. She is a graduate of Brandeis University and the School of Information at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she gained her Master's Degree (MSI).

Anna will work from the USA through a unique strategic arrangement with the nonprofit ITHAKA. ITHAKA, based in New York City, provides digital preservation and other infrastructure and advisory services for the global academic community, including the well-known global preservation service Portico. Anna will be an ITHAKA employee fully dedicated to advancing the work of DPC. "We are thrilled to embrace and support Anna as a close collaborator and to provide this opportunity to further our shared organizational commitment with DPC to digital preservation and fostering community and best practices," said Kate Wittenberg, Portico's managing director.

With Anna now leading work in the Americas, following a period of planning and development, the DPC will deliver a program of face-to-face events for members in the Americas as well as facilitating knowledge exchange between organizations in the region through briefing days, working groups, and task forces.

Founded in 2002 by its first members in the UK and Ireland, the DPC's membership now incorporates 159 members in 25 countries around the world, including 20 organisations across the Americas. With staff in the UK, Australia, the Netherlands and now a representative in the USA, the DPC works with its network of organizations to deliver resilient long-term access to digital content and services through community engagement, targeted advocacy work, training and workforce development, capacity building, and sharing good practice and standards.

Anna will begin work from 10th June 2024.
