Ex Libris, part of Clarivate, is excited to announce that the Library Network at Universidad San Sebastian is modernizing its library technology by adopting Alma as its next library management system and will also benefit from advanced library discovery service, Primo. This unified resource management and discovery platform upgrade prepares the university to best meet the current and future needs of both the academic and research community.

The Universidad San Sebastian, founded in 1989 and with six campuses in Santiago, Concepción, Valdivia y Puerto Montt, in Chile, identified Alma as being critical to enhancing library capabilities and aligning to the university's forward-looking Strategic Institutional Development Plan 2022-2029.

The combination of Alma and Primo will help the Library Network at USS to create more efficient workflows for the library staff, improve the user experience with solutions according to the current and future needs of the academic and research community.

Universidad San Sebastian joins thirteen other academic and specialized institutions that have selected Alma across Chile, as it's extending its long-time relationship with Ex Libris integrated library systemand upgrading from legacy solutions. The technology upgrade to Alma exemplifies the overall market condition in Latin America, as more than 50 libraries throughout the region have selected Alma as their resource management platform since 2019.
