Oslo, Norway -- August 30, 2024. MUNCH's research library is now live on TIND ILS. With a modern search experience and advanced cataloging tools, the new system will provide researchers and visitors with a more detailed look into the library's extensive collection of works related to Edvard Munch.
MUNCH's library is a research library that makes the collection and knowledge about Edvard Munch available for internal and external research, including Edvard Munch's personal book collection. By upgrading from Axiell's Mikromarc 3 to TIND ILS, the library can now provide researchers with modern search and browsing features and more advanced cataloging tools for librarians. TIND ILS's flexibility will enable the library to better showcase the details of its collection.
"We can truly customize the system to showcase the uniqueness of our collection," says Marthe Samuelsen, Special Librarian at the MUNCH Library. "TIND ILS was the best choice for highlighting the details in our records, and its features will greatly improve our users' understanding of our collection."
In addition to its features and customization benefits, Marthe Samuelsen highlights the positive experience with the implementation process:
"We are delighted with the implementation process. The implementation plan was clear and easy to follow. We felt well supported, and communication with TIND has been excellent throughout. TIND has been a responsive partner, helping us transition from our old system to the new one."
