Session Abstract

Join us for an engaging and informative panel session hosted by 4Science, where we dive into the powerful world of DSpace and its extensions. The basic DSpace repository [PJ1] [MS2] platform can also be enhanced with additional out-of-the-box features that can provide many benefits to the institutions that implement them, such as the GLAM extension for the need of the cultural heritage, or the CRIS extension for the needs of the research information management, in line with the Barcelona Declaration. Discover how institutions can leverage these advanced features to significantly enhance their repository capabilities beyond the basic DSpace setup. These DSpace extensions are very modular, and they can be tailored to the institutions' needs.

Our session will feature domain expert and business analyst Jordan Piščanc from 4Science, who will provide a deep dive into the DSpace extensions, showcasing their functionalities and advantages. Learn how these extensions can streamline and improve your repository management, enhancing the user experience and providing robust support for Open Science initiatives, such as FAIR, PlanS, Diamond OA.
