Springshare, a leading EdTech vendor with 7,500+ educational institutions and libraries as customers, today announced the acquisition of CareerShift, the software platform that helps students with job search, career, and company research. Springshare acquired CareerShift from Student Playbook LLC who, after this divestiture, will focus on serving the alumni associations market.
October 25, 2024. Public Libraries in Maine and Massachusetts implement Springshare's Patron Point. Springshare announced that Scarborough Public Library and Thomas Crane Public Library have selected the Patron Point engagement platform to enhance their communication and outreach efforts.
October 11, 2024. Springshare reaffirms SOC 2 Type II compliance. Springshare announced that it has successfully maintained System and Organization Controls 2 Type II compliance, for the third year running. SOC 2 is a comprehensive auditing process developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is considered the gold standard for proper security assessment. It is an extensive procedure involving independent auditors that requires systemwide cooperation.

Springshare announced that Harnett County Public Library and Crandall Public Library have adopted the Patron Point marketing and automation platform to support their community outreach and engagement efforts.
July 10, 2024. Springshare partners with Brodart to launch reading recommendation service for public libraries. Springshare and Brodart announced the launch of an exciting new reading recommendation service, Patron Point My Reads. July 5, 2024. Danbury Library first to launch Springshare's LibPost. Springshare announced that Danbury Public Library, based in Danbury, Connecticut, is the first to implement the company's new mover postcard service, LibPost. With this initiative, Danbury Library will send quarterly postcards inviting new residents to visit the library and make use of their resources.

May 31, 2019 Springshare acquires QuestionPoint from OCLC
OCLC has divested its QuestionPoint online reference service, selling the product to Springshare, a commercial company offering a variety of products, mostly focusing on public-facing library services delivered through a software-as-a-service platform. This product, officially branded as the Question- Point 24/7 Reference Cooperative, has been offered to libraries as a subscription service since 2002.
