News Announcements

July 10, 2024. Springshare partners with Brodart to launch reading recommendation service for public libraries. Springshare and Brodart announced the launch of an exciting new reading recommendation service, Patron Point My Reads. With this collaboration, users of the Patron Point marketing and automation platform can draw on robust title information provided by Brodart to automatically generate eye-catching monthly newsletters that feature reading lists on specific genres and topics.


July 5, 2024. Danbury Library first to launch Springshare's LibPost. Springshare announced that Danbury Public Library, based in Danbury, Connecticut, is the first to implement the company's new mover postcard service, LibPost. With this initiative, Danbury Library will send quarterly postcards inviting new residents to visit the library and make use of their resources.


June 21, 2024. Catch presentations from librarian guest presenters and Springshare experts at booth #2635. Springshare will be hosting exciting flash presentations at Booth #2635 in the ALA Library Marketplace in San Diego, CA from June 28 to July 1. The lineup includes librarian guest presenters from public, academic, and school libraries who will be sharing how they have implemented Springshare Tools to support, expand, and enhance their library services.


May 31, 2024. Public Libraries implement Patron Point to support community engagement. Springshare announces that the Manatee County Public Library System and the New Haven Free Public Library have selected the Patron Point engagement and automation platform to showcase library resources and support community engagement.


May 10, 2024. Libraries select Springshare's Patron Point to support outreach and engagement. Springshare announced that the A.H. Meadows Library, San Mateo Public Library, and the Westlake Porter Public Library have selected the Patron Point engagement and automation platform to enhance patron communication and support outreach and engagement efforts.


April 26, 2024. Libraries in California, Colorado, and New York implement Springshare's Patron Point. Springshare announced the City of San Leandro Public Library, the Boulder Public Library District, and the Bethlehem Public Library have implemented the Patron Point engagement and automation platform to improve the library card sign-up processes and support community outreach efforts.


April 12, 2024. Public Libraries in Canada and the United States implement Springshare's Patron Point. Springshare announced that the Estes Valley Library, the Lambton County Library, and the Burlington County Library System have implemented the Patron Point engagement and automation platform to boost outreach efforts by delivering timely and engaging messaging to library patrons.

LibPost offers a simple and effective service from start to finish.


March 15, 2024. Springshare's Patron Point Implemented by Public Libraries. Springshare announced that the Seminole County Public Library System, the Amarillo Public Library, and the Montgomery County Department of Public Libraries have implemented the Patron Point engagement and automation platform to support their institutional goals and marketing efforts.


March 1, 2024. Public Libraries adopt Springshare's Patron Point. Springshare is thrilled to announce that the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Iberville Parish Library, and the Somerset County Library System have adopted the Patron Point marketing and automation platform to support their outreach and community engagement efforts.

May 31, 2019 Springshare acquires QuestionPoint from OCLC
OCLC has divested its QuestionPoint online reference service, selling the product to Springshare, a commercial company offering a variety of products, mostly focusing on public-facing library services delivered through a software-as-a-service platform. This product, officially branded as the Question- Point 24/7 Reference Cooperative, has been offered to libraries as a subscription service since 2002.

Jan 2007 Springshare was founded by Slaven Zivkovic
